I’m still not sure I believe in the universe, or god, or cosmic energy or Buddha or whatever. That said, whether or not he/she/it is real, one thing is certain – he/she/it has a sense of humor.

It’s like the universe has been saying, “Heather, you don’t have to believe in me or fate or anything — that’s fine — but I’m just going to keep tossing signs and coincidences your way, just to keep you guessing.”

You sassy minx universe — quit messing with me!

Just kidding, I’m not mad, at least I’m not angry. I may be a little crazy — seeing these odd symmetries in life and my study of the pursuit of happiness — kind of blows my mind.

Take for example my meditating on chakras/maslow/wants and needs. At the core of my “why” is truth, creativity, and kindness, the energy of the 2nd, 4th and 6th chakra.

My personal belief is that happiness is the journey transitioning through 2, 4 and 6, in an infinite loop, i.e. the “8” is a sideways infinite — or perhaps it is the reflected 4, in the love energy that is manifested – pulled from the energetic flow of possibility into this reality.

The flow between these chakras connects with my practice of design and entrepreneurship — how creators (haha that’s “little c” creator 😉 are constantly juggling between vision (6), making (2) and learning about their customers and possibilities (4)* . Which brings me to

2 – 4 – 6 – 8 Who do we appreciate?

It’s such an old sports cheer, I can’t remember a time I didn’t know it. Now it seems you can’t throw a self-help or management book without reading about the life-changing benefits of gratitude.

Just another example of the universe/god/goddess whispering “I’ve been here all along. Look at me.”

No, sure if this makes me feel humble or a little stupid. I think I’ll skip the judgment and just laugh.

Namaste, it’s Friday!

*Todd Henry in his book “Die Empty” calls this make, map, meshing. Spencer Ingram and the hack c-ville folks refer to it as “looping and I’ve also heard it referred to as ready fire aim.
